Overview
ShowOps is an independent, on-site observational practice focused on how aged care food and hospitality operations actually perform in live service conditions.
It shows leaders what is really happening on the floor, and where that differs from how work is intended or assumed to occur.
ShowOps observes operations as they unfold — during service, under time pressure, and within real constraints — and documents what staff actually do across kitchens, dining rooms, systems, and workflows.
The practice is observational, not corrective. It does not audit compliance, certify systems, or prescribe solutions.
Organisations engage ShowOps to test assumptions, understand emerging operational issues, or gain clarity following increased scrutiny or regulatory attention.
Each engagement results in a plain-language account of what was directly observed, highlighting recurring patterns, points of alignment, and areas of operational strain. What is documented is often uncomfortable, because it reflects normal work under pressure rather than idealised process.
The pages that follow explain how observation is conducted, how findings are recorded for leadership, and where the boundaries of the practice sit.
